Massage therapy can be used for the treatment of both acute and chronic conditions. I work with a wide variety of clients, of all ages, in the treatment of illness, injury rehabilitation and disability and general well-being. Massage therapy is as vital to a healthy mind and body as is exercise and diet. All too often, people who have demanding lives turn to temporary solutions that do not necessarily promote healing or wellness. There is a better choice, I invite you to discover the benefits of massage therapy.
I specialise in Soft Tissue Therapy (Sports injury specific) and I am qualified to the UK's highest level 5 BTEC Diploma in Clinical Sports and Remedial Massage Therapy, studied through the Oxford School of Sports Massage. I have over 10 years of experience within this field and I also provide many holistic treatments. I am fully insured and have a member’s license with the Federation of Holistic Therapies. (light, medium or deep pressure)
This treatment is designed as a maintenance “well-being” massage. If you are suffering with any type of chronic pain or injury, please choose the ‘sports and remedial’ massage treatment as you will require an initial assessment and treatment program will be advised.
After warming the tissue, deep pressure is used to reach deeper layers of muscle and fascia where aches and pains are held. Deep Tissue Massage can help with chronic pain, pinched nerves, injury rehabilitation, osteoarthritis, postural problems and limited range of motion.
(deep pressure, trigger point therapy, MET’s and STR’s included)
Sports and remedial massage helps to prevent and relieve injuries and conditions that are associated with exercise or every day activities and repetitive strains. It can often be quite strenuous and aims to relieve and reduce the stress and tension that can build up within the body’s soft tissues. (more…)
